Important Notice

Your statutory rights: Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), all products sold by Midam Tech come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a remedy for faulty, unsafe, or misdescribed products regardless of this policy. Nothing in this policy limits your ACL rights.

1. Overview

This Returns Policy applies to all products purchased from www.midamtech.com.au. We accept returns across three categories: faulty or defective products (including manufacturing defects), change of mind returns, and warranty returns. Warranty returns are governed by our separate Warranty Policy.

2. Faulty, defective, or incorrectly supplied products

This section applies to all products, including screen protectors and cases.
 
2.1  Major failures — your ACL rights
If a product has a major failure, you are entitled under the ACL to choose:
  • A full refund to your original payment method; or
  • A replacement with the same or equivalent product.
A major failure exists where the product would not have been purchased had you known of the defect, is substantially unfit for its purpose, or creates a safety risk.
 
2.2  Minor failures
For minor defects that can be remedied, we may repair or replace the product. If we are unable to remedy the issue within a reasonable time, you may request a refund or replacement.
 
2.3  Manufacturing defects — screen protectors and cases
Screen protectors and cases are consumable products not covered by a voluntary warranty. However, manufacturing defects are covered under this Returns Policy and your ACL rights. Manufacturing defects include:
  • Screen protectors: bubbling, lifting, or peeling upon correct application; incorrect dimensions for the stated device model
  • Cases: broken clasps, failed stitching, material delamination, or structural failure from first use
Manufacturing defects do not include cracking, scratching, or other damage resulting from normal use or accidental impact.
 
2.4  How to make a faulty product return
Contact us promptly with:
  • Your order number and proof of purchase
  • A clear description of the defect or fault
  • Photos or video evidence of the issue
We will respond within 5 business days. Return shipping costs for confirmed faulty or defective products are covered by Midam Technology.

3. Change of mind returns

3.1  Eligibility
We accept change of mind returns within 7 days of delivery. To be eligible, the product must:
  • Have been purchased directly from www.midamtech.com.au
  • Be returned within 7 days of the delivery date
  • Show no signs of use, physical damage, or tampering
  • Be in its original, unused condition with all accessories and packaging included
  • Pass our inspection and testing process upon receipt
3.2  Non-eligible items for change of mind
The following cannot be returned as a change of mind:
  • ✗ Products that have been activated, used, or registered
  • ✗ Products with broken seals or missing components
  • ✗ Screen protectors that have been applied to a device
  • ✗ Cases showing any signs of use or fitting to a device
  • ✗ Gift cards or digital products
3.3  Remedy
Approved change of mind returns are eligible for:
  • Replacement with the same or equivalent product (Shipping fee will be charged and subject to availability); or
  • Store credit or Voucher to the value of the returned item.
Refunds to the original payment method are not provided for change of mind returns. Refunds are only available where required under the Australian Consumer Law.

3.4  Return shipping — change of mind
Return shipping costs for change of mind returns are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend a trackable shipping method. Midam Technology is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

4. Returns process

Follow these steps for all return types — faulty, change of mind, or warranty:
 
  1. Submit a return request by emailing support@midamtech.com.au with your order number, product name, reason for return, and supporting photos or video where applicable. Alternatively, complete the Returns Form on our website at www.midamtech.com.au/returns.
  2. We will review your request and respond within 5 business days to confirm whether your return has been approved and provide return instructions.
  3. Securely pack the product, including all original accessories, documentation, and packaging where possible. Clearly write your order number on the outside of the parcel.
  4. Ship the product to address provided after returns form submission. Use a trackable service and retain your proof of postage. Midam Technology covers return shipping only for confirmed faulty or defective products.
  5. Email your tracking number to support@midamtech.com.au so we can monitor the return.
  6. Our team will inspect and test the product within 7–10 business days of receipt (excluding transit time). You will be notified of the outcome by email.
  7. If approved, your chosen remedy (refund, replacement, or store credit) will be arranged promptly. Refunds process within 10–15 business days depending on your payment provider.

5. Refund processing

Refunds to the original payment method are issued only where required under the Australian Consumer Law (major failures). Approved refunds are processed within 10–15 business days. Additional processing time may apply depending on your bank or payment provider.
Store credit or Voucher for approved change of mind or minor fault returns is applied to your Midam Tech account within 3–5 business days of approval.

6. Australian Consumer Law

Our voluntary returns policy supplements your legal rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Under the ACL:
  • Products must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description.
  • For major failures, you choose between a full refund or replacement.
  • For minor failures, we may choose to repair, replace, or refund.
  • These rights apply for a reasonable period based on the product, its price, and intended use — which may extend beyond our stated return window.
